Le Tommy Cafe

A nice bakery cafe is not necessary in the very nice ambiance, do you agree?
Yes, for Le Tommy Bakery cafe, there do not have nice decoration, nice furniture, but the pastry here, is awesome!
Pastry from Tart to Pie, sandwich, everything is better and tasty than those with nice ambiance cafe.
Cherry Chocolate Tart, is the must try for tart lover, owner cum baker told me, this is the signature and also one of his own secret recipe.
 The tart is rich in chocolate, every single layer, on top with fresh and big cherry, the sour of the cherry with the sweet of the chocolate, it make a perfect match.
 



Beside sweet tart, I had try the salt tart. The others Signature of the cafe, Salmon Tart. This tart need some preparation time before serving. Heat up and put on with brown sauce.
This tart is make from salmon and spinash, squeere some lemon juice on top, it will make the tart more tasty, brown sauce is the must to bring up the whole salmon tart flovour. Over all, come with a piece of bake tomato, a very good and nice food presentation.
Others than tart and  those ready make pastry is selling in the cafe, I realise they are a lot of customer is order for sandwich, the bread is fresh bake and make upon order

Haikara Style Japenese Cafe and Bakery

 
Today, lets me bring you to the Japanese Style Cafe located near Subang Carrefour.
 The cafe is just open at a shop down stair of one service apartment. Environment is very cosy, and comfortable for High tea or break away during a long busy day.
Coffee is the highly re commanded. There have premium coffees from different country like Brazil, Kenya or so. The premium coffee brew by the special brew pot, every cup of the coffee is take 15 minutes to prepare. A small cup of premium coffee cost RM9.90, but....is worth for coffee lover.

Coffee always best to come with some cakes or pastry. This is one of the star cakes in the house, ONLY available here, what so special? it looks is just like the normal Swiss roll cake,but it is totally different.
I choose one "called green tea Ocha Swiss roll", it is amazing....the green tea cake, you can feel the blended green tea leave when you eating, full of green tea aroma, it is replace now a day those essential oil. The Japanese bakery chef cum boss is putting very good afford to make the cake in natural taste.
Inside the green tea Swiss roll, it is add in some of the OMOCHI and read bean paste, you can feel the soften of the cake, and also the QQ of the OMOCHI, really a new combination, SOFT AND QQ, funny! The must have a try when you visit this store.







































PH pastry House

 You like strudels? Yes, It is my long time favourite pastry.Recently seen this actively running GROUPON promotion, and I decided to give then a try.
This bakery shop is just nearby the Lavine cafe and restaurant, some where near Jalan Imbi.
When I step into the bakery shop, the amazing decoration stop my foot. Nice and modern style of the design is totally a different concept from what Lavine.
And come to bread, I can see a lots of the black carbon bread which is very fanous and good for healthy, and also some of the wholemeal, nut, or cereal bread. Healthy bread is the concept here, not much of variety as Lavine, but just enough for your choice!
The Strudel here is nice, is the must try item.  There have many flovour for you to choose, like blueberry, mango, pineapple, strawberry.
I try for the Pineapple, and blueberry. For pineapple, is the good try on the recepi, sweet and sour, just very good taste combination.
but for blueberry, is a bit sweet, there had blueberry friut in between the strudels.

 

Cungdinh Vietnam Restaurant


Year 2012, Chinese New year Eve dinner.....
This year lets come out with something new for reunion dinner. Vietnamese cuisine.
This restaurant name Cungdinh Vietnam Restaurant
a very fine dining Vietnam food located at KL next to Sheraton Imperial Hotel.
The first dish is Vietnam Yee sang, is similar with Chinese one, but is replace those fried crackers with green healthy vegetable like carrot, cucumber, bean curl and some ground bean. Mixed with salmon fish, Vietnam style fish sauce and sesames. It is a really healthy Yee sang compare with Chinese style Yee sang.
 come to appetiser, there served two types of the Vietnam spring roll, one is the healthy style, rice roll wrapped with prawn and mint leave and rice noodles. for the fried spring roll, personally, i like it the most, it is wrapped with chicken mice and the meat is still juicy after deep fried, the most i appreciate is the food presentation, it is come with a pineapple candle. taste and view come to the max enjoyment.
after the appetiser, let to the main dish, the "DRUNK" prawn cook with coconut juice. fresh and Q prawn, a good combination of alcohol with coconut juice, and it wont spoil the taste of the prawn,  you also can taste the coconut soup after.


Lets talk about the 2 vegetables dish we ordered. one is the eggplant with sour sauce, and one is just the normal fried kangkung. Not mush to explain for the vegetables, is just the same, only the cooking style is slightly different from Chinese.

Wao...what is this dish, so amazing? Yes, it is still warming by the fire when is served to us. what so special? This is the fish soup ONLY make to us, is not in the menu. SEK PAN fish cooked with lady finger, tomatoes, bean curd. It is just like the "teow chew: style soup, right? BUT....it is taste slightly different, it taste sweet, maybe because of the fish or the seasoning is different, over all the soup is good.
This is the lemongrass chicken, taste moderate, no lemongrass flavour, but sauce is not bad, can make a try on it.
Have you try for Vietnamese desserts? No? Ok, the below is the re commanded dessert while you dining in Vietnamese Restaurant, this is so called " bake banana cake in sweet sauce on top with peanut butter" amazing?Yes, it taste sweet and the fulfilment of enjoy the dessert is up to the top.

Puchong Curry Fish Head

 It was a another rainy day, me and my family decided to have some Spicy stuff for our dinner, just near from my house, the neighbourhood shop lots, there have a famous curry fish head.
Portion for this Clay pot curry fish head is big, curry is very heavy, the dense can be adjust base on your taste, for me, i like the heavy one, mixed with white rice, is a very good match.
Ingrediant is the normal the curry fish head we can found outsdie, but fish wise, you can choose either the fried fish head, or also only boneless fish fillet.
for Those not the curry lover, they may also can choose for the Steam fish haed,is the signature ginger steam fih head, you can enjoy more the fish frehness.

JB-Seafood Porridge

This is the best porridge I had, with variety of seafood; inside u can found Crab, prawns, grouper fish slices, squid, and also the QQ fish ball. All ingredients are fresh and the soup is full of the taste of seafood, just can’t escape any one drop of it. The porridge is the normal teow chew style, watery and you still can see ever single of the rice shape.
Other then porridge, you may choose noodle like yellow noodle, yee mee or mee sua with the seafood.
Minimum per pot is for 2 persons RM35, not a very economy meal but is good to have a try, and the portion is big enough for 3 persons serving. Definitely I will come again if I down to JB for my next business trip.
The restaurant is just located at Mount Austin, Johor Bahru. Matang Seafood restaurant, opposite of Tebrau city Jusco.
